WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN

Still on the New Birth; here, Pastor made it crystal clear that, being Born Again is not a change of behavior. Salvation is about a change of Spirit, and not a change of character or behavior. Salvation (I.e, the new birth) does not change a person's behavior. Rather, what changes a person's behavior after they're Born Again is the renewing of their minds. (Romans 12 : 1 & 2) The New Birth is not a transformation, but a recreation of the human spirit. Your good behaviors or characters aren't spirituality, but transformation. Stop thinking that all your negative lifestyles will just stop immediately once you're Born Again. What actually happened to you when you got Born Again was that you received a brand new spirit - which is the Spirit of Christ. You didn't receive a change of behavior. Your behavior can only change over time as your mind is being renewed through the word of Christ. Shalom!
